1 dead, 1 hurt in shooting at immigration offices in US federal building

LONG BEACH, Calif. - A U.S. immigration agent shot and seriously wounded a co-worker during a workplace confrontation before another agent pulled his weapon and shot the gunman to death, the FBI said.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were shot Thursday evening in the federal building in Long Beach, south of downtown Los Angeles.

The FBI's Steven Martinez described the shootings as a case of "workplace violence involving two federal agents in their office space." He offered no details about what led to the initial shooting.

But the Los Angeles Times, citing multiple law enforcement sources, reported Friday that the initial shots were fired by an agent at his supervisor during an unspecified dispute.

"Another agent, working nearby, intervened and fired his weapon to prevent additional rounds being fired at the victim," said Martinez.

The gunman died at the scene, and the wounded agent was hospitalized. ICE Special Agent in Charge Claude Arnold would only say he was stable.

St. Mary's hospital trauma director James Murray told KCAL-TV the injured agent had multiple gunshot wounds. The victim's vital signs were "good for now," Murray said.

The names of the dead gunman, the victim and the agent who fired the final rounds were not released.

Actually the deadly danger and threat for the west is the Muslims immigrants.
Muslims birth rate is very high ( 7 times higher than that of the white people), and in the Islamic conference was held in Pakistan they predicted that Muslims will dominate and control the west in 20 years time without war (through the Muslims immigrants and their high birth rate).
The number of Muslims Immigrants in Europe is 25-30 million right now and carry with them a dangerous Islamic ideology completely opposing the bases on which the western civilization based on.

Muslim Immigrants to the west pretend peace as long they are minority and weak, but once they gain power and make a majority they show their ugly terrorist face.

But it's okay for the public to be at the mercy of some of these "Cowboys".
One wonders if there are ANY psychological profiles done on persons that are required to "pack" on the job; IN ALL SECTORS.

As with ALL government/unions the supervisor probably insulted the worker by asking him TO DO HIS JOB.

Yeah right, guns don't kill people, people kill people, but without guns maybe there would be a different outcome. Until your gun laws are dealt with this kind of tragedy will just keep happening.

the gunman was probably a slack #$%$ and wasn't doing his job properly. the boss gave him a poor job performance review and he was riding his case and telling to smarten up or he will be fired. when he saw no improvement he probably threatened to send the review up the heads of the department. this is usually the case when employees go after their bosses....IMOA.
