When the police are on the juice ! why dont they just smoke crack or sniff for months while they are working and see if there personality temporarily changes. Lets see if they use force or draw their guns while helping a elderly lady across the street and some driver beeps the horn or better still, inject Mr Bush with testostrome in these last months and lets see if he bombs Iran!!! My point is, less the Bush comment ! steroids are mood and mind aultering drugs!!!!! period..........

This story is based around one sadly manufactured myth. The truth is that the oilsands are not truly needed. Yes, oil is high in demand, and yes I drive to work. The sad thing is that the oil sands are needed only because we haven't any access to natural gas at the pump and most of our vehicles are not equipped to run off of it. The oilsands use far more natural gas energy than they supply us with. If we were to switch to natural gas, we could close that project down. http://www.randomhouse.ca/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780676979138

How nutty can one system get? Losing and appealing seems the best route to go. Insane!

It is no better in the US. Not that Conrad Black is one of my favourite people, but how can a US court find him guilty, or even charge him, for removing boxes from a Toronto office? Would that not be the Toronto Police and the Ontario court's jurisdiction? That question was never fully answered, from a legal aspect, in the Maclean's articles.

Re Andre Coyne's At the tribunal, there's no defence of fair comment, or good faith, or even truth Scribblers like Coyne are very sensitive to limitations of *their* freedom of expression. The BC Human Rights tribuanal has been abused several times against for example Doug Collins by Jewish complainants. Where was Coyne, Steyn, Aimel when Collins' freeom of expression had to be defended?

Wow . . . and this was from Maclean's. What a complete, and utter waste of time. I kept waiting for it to get serious, and it just slid right off the rails. Sure this isn't some nut job's blog with a fake byline?

This moron at McLean's is delusional like 99% of all their articles that are ALWAY written to promote our crackpot government, in the 30s it was called propaganda. There is NO WAY any MORE tax would be welcomed in the world's fourth highest tax nation with THE highest taxes on fuel of ANY nation at present!! They should rename the outfit to what it really is: The Propaganda Office of The Government of Canada!!!! Even their mag is crap!!

as a taxpayer , i "SICK" of paying another tax ! we have = personal income tax , tire tax , battery tax , fuel tax , road tax ,tourist tax , gst (some) pst , tax on oil jugs , all plastic glass & cans , tax on all paints & stains, etc etc etc . i think the government should drop the ideas of taxing us more on the everyday items , and tax all the NATIVE CASINOS & the gambling players in canada , nevada takes 30% from all winnings from gambling . besides , how does paying another tax ?? clean up .

I'm an American viewer who has been to Haiti several times and found this information interesting enough to read it's entire contents. I love the Haitian people and hurt deeply for their suffering. I just with the Americans would do more.
