here's the simple story. Muslims will bow down to know one accept God, to them only his will matters. Now, for americans, this is a no no. They don't care if you submit to whoever in your own house, but in matters of state, they want mankind to submit to america's will. Muslims are not and will not do that. To the muslims, submitting to the will of anyone except God means worshipping that entity, whether it's america or anyone else, so there is a clash between Muslims and america.
what america is actually fighting is the reunification of the Muslim lands under one caliphate. This is something bush himself, as wel as his imperial pooch tony blair admitted. dick cheney, mit romney, and even henry kissenger attested to this as being america's real interest in crushing Islamic movements. The reunification of the Muslim is in no way a threat to the west, it is a threat to the power structure of the west, which has colonized and destroyed the world over.
you know, america attempted to oust and eliminate the taliban in afghanistan, the CIC in somalia, the MILF in the phillipines etc. etc. Wherever Muslism overthrew puppet regimes, america went there. Well, here's the strategic reality though. In order for america to win, it has to completely cause the public to give up it's Islamic sentiments. In order for the taliban, the CIC, etc. to win, they just have to survive the war. hence, america can never win, cause america can't stay forever.

The Islamic fundamentalists are not doing any favours to their cause. Pretty soon the people are going to realize that their guerrilla war is responsible for killing hundreds of thousands of innocents over the years all in the name of Islam? Real change happens through diplomacy and if they were truly wise they would realize this and take up the challenge, but they are children (from my view)
