I don't care what others think, but for me, David Cook can't sing, there's no strength in his voice. The other David Achuletta didn't win because his younger fans couldn't keep up with the cost to vote for him.

If Simon had not opened his big mouth, calling Achuletta the winner, i am sure that Achuletta would have won.With Simon stating the winner, everyone wanted to prove him wrong so voted for Cook. Nice work Simon.

I am absoutely sure the voters can and should pick the best Idol. Your there to voice your opinion not state your Declareation on who the winner is on the last show.
On Jay Leno Monday night, Simon picked DC to win. Although Archie has a great voice, would you pay money to see his show?? One dimensional, hour and a half of ballads. Cook is much more versatile and has an wamazing stage presence. Good on ya.
I am sooooooo happy that David Cook won American Idol!! I may be a grandmother of three but I still watch both American as well as Canadian Idol faithfully and I must say that David Cook is one singer that I would definitely pay money to see, he is an individual who has proved his own style again and again. He deserved to win the American Idol, so from Canada Dave.... way to go eh!!!! Hope you can make it to Nova Scotia someday bud. Congrats kid! cheryl
