To Mary M; Victim impact statements do not belong in the justice system? I can hardly wait to mine when I go to court against the idiot who sexually assaulted me, as well as testify against him! Now don't get me wrong, I think this Smith character deserves prison time big time, and somehow he should compensate the Canadian taxpayers who pay through their eye teeth when it comes to taxes. But victim impact statements are to let the perpetrator of crimes know just what their crimes have done.
First, if a female child is being given many bubble baths, I have heard it is possible that a urinary tract infection may result from irritation from the chemicals used to make the bubbles. Each of us should ask our family doctors. Second, I live in Ontario Canada where this is a huge court case, and IMHO, I think each individual who has been wrongly convicted should SUE this doctor for every penny he has, and that he should go to prison for life. I am sickened by this whole thing.
i got to think about this one, death penalty for any child rape/death is a must.(if the person is for sure guilty).as for this case, when said"Smith stated that wasn't necessarily indicative of sexual contact because there are 'lots of different causes of urinary tract infection".how possible is that a 3 yr has a urinary infection?explain that pls? if so:when, where is the doctor that treated that child?, there must be a doctor to confirm this. the child was raped, death penalty, is MUST!
And that's it. . . Peoples lives distroyed because of someone's ego. You know this might even be funny if it wasn't so serious. A person sits and passes judgement on other people when according to him he was incompetent because of a lack of knowlage. Smith's own ego wouldn't let him stop. And he's sorry. . .yeah. . right. He was just as dangerous as the fool with a gun doing a drive by, both don't give a dam who gets hurt.
"Week of humiliation and apology" Give me a break. WHAT humiliation? Was the doc forced to spend years as someone's jail ho, getting raped daily, which is what probably happened to those innocent dads? WHAT apology? As a classic psychopath, Doc Smith is an expert at faking emotions. Unfortunately, up here in Scamada there is one law for us poor working schmucks, & another law for the affluent professionals...including the judges who protected Smith in the 90s. Expect a sweetheart sentence
OK what the heck is wrong here? This guy screwed up the life of several innocent people, put them behind bars and all the problems that being a "criminal" imply! WHO IS GOING TO SUE THIS ""DOCTOR"" AND MAKE HIM PAY HIS DUES??? Is he ever going to be charged for his crimes? I simply do not understand why they are using his visits to the court to act as a "witness" WHEN HE SHOULD BE ONE ON TRIAL! And all of his victims should be the witnesses now! The system.................no more comments.......
Start lookin' for a tall, tall tree, a good stout rope, 10 gallons of hot tar and 2 bushels of feathers. This guy gets zero sympathy from me, in spite of his pathetic, self-serving snivelling and whining.
