It appears that the length of jail sentences in the US is directly proportional to how popular you are. Son of Hulk Hogan=8 months. Daughter of Lionel Richie=1d. Daughter of Hilton Hotels=coffee with the guards. No wonder the celebs don't take the law seriously!

why should they change this maybe if he has to do something like this he will learn not to do anything like this again.jail is not for you pleasure its to teach you a leason.its not suppose to be a pinic in the park.if you hurt someone you pay.you do the time.so stop whinning about it and do you time.if you dont want to do the time dont do the crime

I dont agree with what he did ......i think house arrest is the sentence he should have got in the first place ......unless they have a place where they live that houses young offenders

who the hell do the hogans think they are. its amazing how easy money is attainable even to trash. if i was ever responsible for taking my friends life away because of my reckless action i would do everything in my power to make up for what i did.i would beg for his forgiveness and donate part of my income to help him for the rest of my life. get your head out of your asses hogans. you taught your son nothing valuable in life. i feel so sorry for this victim and his family.

To Josie what would be alright to put a 17 year old in jail. I guess what he did you would want a slap on the wrist and stay home for a week. Why do we have laws? I think the guilty should be punished.

I would like to import that judge and bring hime to Canada. Its nice to see a judge holding some one accountable for their actions.

I feel sorry that his friend who now needs constant care. He knew they were going to race and he needs to take some of the responsibility as well. There is a reason why insurance companies charge higher premiums under 25 for males than females ,because it is a medical fact that under the age of 25,males do not make rational decisions at times. Put a young male together with a motor and they are invisible and cannot be destructed.I know,I was 17 yrs old 30yrs ago and we all raced cars.

he may be the son of a wrestler and he has to live with the fact he put his friend in a bad way. but eight months may give him time to straighten out his young life and get it on track and his punishment is harsh but its not up to us to pass judgement is it? this happens to anyone and just give him his space and dont treat him like your better then him. like noone knows how hes feeling, cept him. if ya have nothing nice to comment then dont comment at all. laterz
