umm .. people ... don't break the law, don't get taser'd. simple really. The dumb polish guy became aggressive, so instead of just wasting him they zapped him - oops, same result.

I have been through the Killer Customs area. Don't blame the guard at the exit. Dziekanski sat for 4 hours by the conveyor area without anyone asking him what he was doing or why he was sitting there. Good homeland security here!!!! Previous times I saw security guards there. Last time I saw an immigration officer at the conveyor. Maybe the guards and customs officers did not talk. Some conveyors are empty for a while. How were they too busy to notice Dziekanski sitting for 4 hours.

I cannot believe that the RCMP watchdog does not have legal clout to deal with RCMP wrongdoing. Where is the accountability of the Government and RCMP if a watchdog into wrongdoing is ignored? The current government appears to be supporting the actions of the RCMP. In my mind an RCMP officer or High ranking officer ignoring the RCMP watch dog should not be in law enforcement. Where will the tazering stop, a 6 year old kid putting gum on the sidewalk after an officer orders him to stop?

If these tasers are so safe, why are people ending up dead?????? There are other ways to subdue and control a person. Using tasers is a very dangerous way to control somone. People are being killed while these talks and so called inquiries go on. Stop the use of these devices untill a safer method of controling subjects is attained!!!!!!

The poor man at Vancouver Airport that was killed with a taser gun is reason enough to ban them. Take a lesson from the way animal control people deal with vicious animals...i.e. toss a simple round shaped cargo type net over the person, or use a tranquilizer dart. These nets are simply folded up and could be kept in the trunk of police cars. Keep in mind that the man at the airport was not even armed and he was up against four police officers!!!! These round cargo nets could save lives.

Notice how the police and the company selling this thing try to get you to use the made-up word 'taser', instead of saying electrocution, which is what it is. Instead of saying 'electrocuted to death' you're manipulated into saying 'tasered'. Laws related to cops getting off scot-free where the rest of us would be charged with murder are also wrong. They may have a hard job but they shouldn't be allowed to get away with murder.

Electrocuting someone to death is wrong. There have been far too many deaths. Even a gun could be fired at someone's leg to stop them without killing them. This electrocution weapon has to be fired at someone's trunk, and can therefore ALWAYS have the possibility of murdering them. Take it away from cops immediately. Cops are already paid over the odds to get their hands 'dirty' manhandling people. If the suspect has a gun they can use a gun, but if not they can manhandle him to the ground.

Shoot first and ask questions later. It is a crazy messed up world and stricter force would slow these creeps up a bit.
