I believe that what Dark Odyssey is trying to say is that America tries to sell all of their wars as liberations for the people, but what is plainly known is that these 'liberations' come at a price. No one cared for Rwanda because it is lacking in resources. Vietnam had opium for producing morphine and was successful in living communist, unlike Cambodia whose dictatorship couldn't feed their people and lacked cooperation with other countries. Because Burma has nothing, the world watches.

Dark Odyssey....What does oil have to do with this story? What is your fascination with oil. Or, have you found a venue to express your unrelated connection to oil. The story has nothing to do with oil, but you seem compelled to make a connection. Good luck!

Why give these people more power by financing them and supplying them. Utter and total theatrics and histronics. Write Burma off and start again in 10 years after the smell disapates.

I agree with a previous poster. Send in UN forces to temporarily seize control of the country. Otherwise I fear this could end up being the biggest disaster of this new century. I would bet almost anything that such plans are already underway.

The UN should form a coalition of countries and use military force to temporarily take control of the Government of Myanmar. The Generals should be charged and put on trial by the World Court for crimes against humanity.
