Air Canada has little competition so it can charge what it wants. Time for an open sky policy in Canada - opening our domestic and international routes to other carriers. Let the best survive.

Can Air Canada explain why , with fuel prices at their lowest in four years it still has a Fuel Tax surcharge of $320 on its round trip fare to the UK .

Most of us seem to have extremely short memories. It was only a few years ago that the price of oil was rising and approaching $50 a barrel, and everyone was all worried about it going any higher. Now people commenting here are worried that it will drop. Imperial Oil has done nothing except make HUGE profits for at least several years now. The extremely rich owners could easily solve their "problems" by digging into their own funds and selling off a few of their massive assets. Instead they beg.

Where are those Havard-grad economists that all were predicting 200 dollars/barrel 3-4 months ago? Probably now they are busy try to predict when the bottom price would be for oil. One more thing, the prices all went up for everything, from stuffs on the shelves to your daily cup of coffee, I wonder when they will start to go down, now that oil prices have been low for some months? Oh the diesel price is still nonsense.
