Look at the panda picture in this post. Yahoo editor intended to post a picture of two panda who are inside the cage. Then we have a "chance" to link this picture into the human rights issue in China. However if we know something about Panda, we should know that they are living in a bush freely in Sichuan. It's a shame for all of us, especially for the ones who love Panda.

We never criticize the designer of the dangerous toys made in China but we blame the chinese manufacturers. We don't even know where China is located in the world but we always give negative non-sense comments against them. There are many fatal accidents in the world but we ONLY criticize on the ones happen in China. How we see the Chinese is exactly the same how they see us. We are jealous but we need to know to correct this.

I agree with opinions from the folks in the last previous posts. People are controlled by our medias. We listen and believe what they say. Most Canadians and even Americans are simple-minded (ignorant and arrogant). We know nothing about the other country but we always criticize and think we are the best. We are biaed too. We never criticize the fake opening music in 2004 Olympic in Sydney but we put millions of fingers to the little girl in China.

Communism is not bad and all governments con its people. Corruption, favoritism, going through the back doors is a very distinct part of the Chinese culture and everyday life. It's not an evil per say but more like the culture has evolved to the point that people use every opportunity to benefit themselves. JUST BECAUSE THEY DO THINGS DIFFERENT DOESN'T MEAN IT'S BAD. I Strongly encourage the people who have not actually lived in China to THINK before they say something stupid and naive.

You know, I lived eight years in Asia. You people make the same comments as folks in the US, and they are hated the world over. I wonder why. If you haven't ever been more than 30 kms from where you grew up, I would understand the narrow mind and ridiculous blanket statements that are being posted here. China is trying very hard to build itself out of the communist era and bring itself inline with democracies. Reading your comments, I am embarassed to be a Canadian? What a bunch of bigots!

@humanbeing, I am also pro-democracy and pro-human-rights, but immature remarks like yours will only get yourself low-ranked. in worst case, you will make people hate us.

Is there any way that these quakes could be related to the massive dam that was built? All that water and pressure maybe causing the plates to shift? Seems there's more quakes around the world lately, chain reaction? Just a thought.
