The only advantage the US has is superior (and expensive) fire power. At home, they are forecasting a record US deficit of half a trillion dollars. The connection is obvious, and the US taxpayer is feeling the war cost at the pumps. When you fill up with gas, you are indirectly funding the war in Iraq.
US will lose in Iraq eventually. The US has killed too many civilians. The number of Iraqi's who have lost a son, a father, a brother, a wife, etc. is now well over a million. Imagine what they all think of Bush. Old ladies are strapping on suicide vests to avenge the deaths of their sons. Countless millions are secretly providing food, money, hiding places and other resources to rebels. You can take as fact that some Syrian, Iranian and Saudi Arabian oil money is flowing to the rebels.
America will lose in Iraq eventually. Sun Tsu said that a protracted war "drains the silver from the peoples treasury". The US is spending 10 billion a month in Iraq. They have been there for over 60 months. They are printing up some of the money they need for the war with printing presses, weakening the US dollar. The IOUSA in 10 trillion in hock and heading into a Kondratieff winter shortly after the November election. They can't afford this war even if it were justified (which it isn't).
