Sands Are you still around? If so, I would say you are a true Liberal, willing to piss away tax money for tradition and "comfort". Personally I have not rode a train for about 38 years. I drive where I want to go in comfort and privacy and much less expense unless I have to fly. SilenceisLoud I made no reference to or intent to comment on prevention or the incident itself, other than to say it was unfortunate. I observed in the facts a system that does not work efficiently and should be shut

I do not mean any disrespect for the poor lady who died, but I'm still confused, is she 43, 60 or 86 this story does not really clear that up for me. A little more detail from this reporter would have helped I think, as I would hope there would be a lot of difference between a 43 and 86 year old.

There is no requirement that news orginizations tell the truth only that they make money. They're much like any other buisness and panic helps sell.

If journalism doesn't publish the facts too well, then perhaps these journalists should be banned from their jobs unless they know how to report the truth.

I wish some members of the news media would wait and make certain of their information and publish only the facts. There was a great deal of speculation and editorializing on their part that generated fear and apprehension. This was not good. It is now clear that there was no deadly illness involved that threatened our communities. My condolences to the family and friends of the deceased woman who must cope with the ramifications of her untimely death in a foreign country..

haha.. all comments here are fear based.. trust me.. if an epidemic goes through that they claim will happen that will cause many deaths.. masks, and COLD FX arent going to help at all. So you think that if thousands around you are sick that one thin mask is going to save you? ahh.. man i need to invest in mask companies.. o wait.. maybe a full head mask.. or .. better yet .. a personal bubble to save you from the 'outside' world and all its inpurities.. boo.. ha.. made you jump!

Ironic how yesterdays article stated 10 people with flu like syptoms along with the one who died. Today the story changes and no one is sick???? Sounds to me like a cover up

LHobbs, please get real. Obviously you do not travel on Via Rail. There is one steward per car, and then the operating personnel. Just because you ride greyhound, do not expect the rest of us to hop on your bus. Rail travel is about the only relaxing public transportation system left to us. And yes I pay my taxes, and I do not begrudge one penny helping to keep our rail tradition alive and well.
