ithinkitsthe... sorry I stand corrected. Genocide is too harsh of a word. My point is that the Gov't acts like it cares but picks and chooses what it will support. If that doesn't work, you are on your own. Which is a death sentence to some. Chemo is not the solution in every case. They won't even look at other possibilities. This poor kid has "been there, done that" his cancer is back. Where would any of us parents be if we did something to our child that had an 80% chance of killing him?

DOGS AND CATS ARE TREATED BETTER WHEN THEY ARE VERY ILL. A HUMAN HAS A CHOICE ON HOW THEY WANT TREATMENT BUT ARE NOT BEING TREATED FAIRLY. THIS BOY HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH. IF THE SURVIVAL RATES ARE NOT VERY GOOD THEN LET THE FATHER AND SON SPEND THE LAST OF THEIR TIME TOGETHER.DIE WITH WITH DIGNETY. DOCTORS THINK THAT THEY ARE GODS. DOCTORS MAKE MISTAKES. FREEDOM OF CHOICE INVOLVING TREATMENT DOES NOT TAKE PLACE. THEY ARE BEING FORCED BY THE DOCTORS AHND THE COURTS REGARDING THE TREATMENT.

Hi. Thiss is sick to read. The government is just using all cancer patients as guinee pigs. I never even read the story as it was maddening enough to see posted here. This family is going through enough and does not need the crap of or screwed up government, not to mention the doctors, or should I say legalized drug pushers. There is cures for cancer and they bury them, to the family of this child I would highly recommend reading up on Hydrogen Peroxide therapy, it will cure many or all disease.

THIS IS A STRONG CASE OF ABUSE BY THE GOVERNMENT AND CHILDREN'S AID SOCIETY. HAS ANYONE THOUGHT OF TALKING TO THE BOY? HE MAY BE MATURE BEYOND HIS YEARS! THIS HAPPENED TO A MEMBER OF MY FAMILY BUT THEY MANAGED TO HIDE BEFORE THEY WERE CAUGHT. MY NEPHEW KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND HE WAS ONLY A FEW YEARS OLDER HE ASKED TO BE ALLOWED TO DIE. HE HAD SUFFERED ENOUGH MEDICAL INTERVENTION THAT WAS PAINFUL BUT USELESS. HE WAS LEFT TO HAVE A FEW MONTHS WITH HIS FAMILY AND DIED A PEACEFUL DEATH

Brain washed people! Who would profit by not let them be? The drug industry ?, the docs ?, the legal system? I'm sure it's Not the tax payers, not "Humanity", Think about it! Who has to gain from that ordeal? Yes it's sad, but ultimately it's none of our business, just let them be!

I was'nt aware the first time I heard this story that this was the second time this little boy has leukemia, and that this is the 2nd time he will under go chemo. From my experience there is not many people who would go through the treament twice and I dont blame the family for not wanting to put there child through this. Child services should be ashamed and be held responsible if the little boy doesnt pull through. Let him have a proper childhood with his friends and family and enjoy his time

There seem to be discrepancies in this story concerning the percentages of survival and remission. Based on the information given the father of 20% survival, the father made a decision in the best interests of his child. The Children's Aid has no business in this.
