To:kbonnie49 . Wendy's did purchase Tim Hortons with a share trade that left a Canadian with a major stake in BOTH companies.. Wendy's later on spun off (sold off) Tim Hortons.. IE: it is now Fully Candian Again.. Sorry to burst YOUR bubble.

Tim Horton's is a business...not a charity. Although this woman's intentions were generous, she has no business giving away product that does not belong to her. As for her 4 children...I don't feel any more sorry for her than I would a person with only 1 child. She chose to have the children. If she can't afford them she shouldn't have had them.

If some people would think what that women did was promote a good customer / employee relation. she just made you TIM HORTONS a 100% satified customer. if your boss had a child she would have understood. This is one customer that will come back to your store and also tell her friends how nice one employee was to her fussy son. SO I THINK YOUR BOSS SHOULD GIVE YOU WRITTEN APOLIGY. SIGN.DOGSTAR9696

Come on...it's bad enough working for squat...but to get fired for what 20 years ago used to go in the garbage before someone thought about selling the middle of the donut?$%# Ever heard of a written warning....??? Or what about asking her to pay the 16cents? Sounds like they just wanted her fired.

The managers should be demoted or fired. The employee who gave away the free sample was the only one who demonstrated any management potential at all. Tim Horton's is off my list of places to grab high calorie snacks. See you on Facebook Timmys.

I've been in restaurant business for 15 years and I have never ever seen a situation like this, it's ashamed for tim horton's to be on the newspaper over a timbits, I am a manager at a restaurant now, over a timbits, they should FIRE the manager, I dont care if it is the policy, but how much food do the restaurant garbage everyday, over a timbits, maybe the manager just wants attention and MAYBE HIGH FOOD COST, Even 1000 timbits a day i am sure that it doesnt hurt food cost cause its recycled.
