PJ what are you on for that Parkinson's? Where in world would they 3.9 trillion dollars from?? You've got to be like what 12 or so, with the comments you make. Our government has a hard enough time with handing out the 1,300.00 to the tax payers they ripped off the year earlier let alone a million dollars to some 40million people just for the sake it. Truthurts you should get these companies selling thier product to us at lower prices than EVERY other nation on Earth! That's the easts troubles!

Nobody seems to have focused on the "gloomy outlook part" that we continue to lose tens of thousands of high paying jobs, in mostly Ontario and Quebec of course, to the same countries that pay wages that keep their people far below the poverty line. Yet we continue to let these same people come to Canada even tho our jobs are going to the countries they are coming from. And we won't have jobs for them! Sound convuluted and screwed up to any of you? If it talks like a duck, etc, then its a duck.

true the only pathetic thing here is your failure to understand how economics and government work. When you make a post like that you show you are uneducated. Your links prove you are wrong. You do not even know how to read the charts you look at. Things that governments do, show their effect later down the road. The ministry of finance data supports everything I said. There is no way around it you are wrong. Mulroney put us on the path to prosperity. Trudeau brought us close to ruin.

Gee ya think that might be from overtaxation??? We only pay between a tiny 65%-74% in taxes on all money made in Canada. Think that might be the reason for a surplus when most countries and industries are posting big losses?

Bluescreen, how pathetic that Conservatives like you take credit for things that are not done during their term in office (e.g. reduction of debt under Chretien and Martin) and do not take blame for things they did do like run up the debt to 600 billion under Mulroney. To say that Mulroney ran surpluses is the big lie technique that Conservatives love so much! Here is the data for all to see: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/080523/canada/canada_budget_col

wow do half of you people who post on here do a spell check? Or even re-read what you wrote. Alot of the things don't make sense. Liberals, Conservatives and any other political party will just mismanage our money because we are too stupid and dumbfounded to stand up to government. We gave 14 million to Myanmar for aid relief, and the military there refused for aid workers to go in at first, what about us Canadians, where is our relief.

I don't care who did what, when, and where or who's doing it now, just keep paying off the debt.
