As much as I would LOVE to go in and blow apart the junta, nothing will happen until the people rise up on their own. Our "system" isn't far off from theirs, at least we get to whine publically, our own gov't doesn't listen to us either unless it works for them or their corpotate "buddies"

There's enough fire power in the "Free World" to blow the hell out of the ruling Junta. Why the hell isn't it happening?

I wonder if part of the reason the govt doesn't want aid is because they fear they will "owe" something in return. In any case, I think the people are very strong, but under these devastating circumstances I hope the govt accepts something from someone.

When the Government fears the population it governs, then it's time for a new Government.

I live in Tokyo and work at a private/diplomatic Hotel. One of the best employees in my department is from Burma (not going to call it that place and give my support to a government that needs its collective butts kicked, and will to do it 2-3 at a time!). I plan to do some real loud protest infront of their embassy. Lets see is the Police State of Japan (you dont hear it but it really is...) stops me from making some noise... Beware of the Puggywug!!

This sucks because the Burmese are the nicest people I've met. Oh BTW guys scrap the UN and start from scratch with an agency that doesn't waste billions paying itself very nicely believe me the UN is as corrupt as any junta or organized crime syndicate.
