More Albertans to say goodbye to former premier Lougheed

Hundreds more Albertans are expected to offer tribute to former Alberta premier Peter Lougheed today, the second day his casket is on display at the legislature.

On Monday more than 1,000 people lined up to pay their respects to Lougheed and offer condolences to his family.

CBC will live stream the viewing Tuesday.

Lougheed, who was premier from 1971 to 1985, died last week at 84.

The Alberta government is holding a state memorial to honour Lougheed Friday afternoon at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Calgary.
