Baby being cared for by family of alleged Tisdale killer Steve O'Shaughnessy

The baby girl who was not hurt in Steve O'Shaughnessy's alleged homicidal attack on her mother and three siblings is being cared for by O'Shaughnessy's family, CBC News has been told.

On Wednesday, police found the bodies of Latasha Gosling and her young children Jenika, 8, Landen, 7 and Janayah, 4, in a Tisdale mobile home.

O'Shaugnessy had been in a relationship with Gosling. It's believed he killed the four and then took the baby, his daughter, to a home in Prince Albert, where he killed himself.

When police entered the home some time after 6 a.m. CST on Wednesday, they found the baby was unharmed.

She was put into the care of family the same morning, police said.

Meanwhile, a fundraising campaign that will partly go into a trust fund for the child continues to grow.

The Gofundme.com campaign has raised more than $53,000. The money will pay for funeral expenses with the remainder going into the trust fund, the organizers say.
