CBC lets Atlantic Canada feed go live by accident before polls close

There seems to be some confusion at CBC Newsworld, which began transmitting election results from Atlantic Canada to as far away as Calgary before polls closed.

While there are some Twitter feeds that are releasing results, although not confirmed, the Newsworld feed gave the Atlantic Canada results, including one from Quebec.

It was on the air for a few minutes with anchor Peter Mansbridge talking about the results until a screen came up indicating CBC was having "technical difficulties." It then came back on air with additional coverage from the Maritimes before being shut down once again.

It came back on a few minutes later in Ontario with NDP Leader Jack Layton stating his famous "hashtag fail" comment from the leaders' debate, ironically, before it shunted to a collection of campaign gaffes.
