Bride retaliates when groom brings virtual girlfriend to wedding

When a groom cries on his wedding day he is usually crying tears of joy, but that wasn't the case for one Japanese groom over the weekend.

He was on the verge of crying tears of sadness because his fiancee was forcing him to destroy his virtual girlfriend, who he insisted attend their wedding.

When guests arrived, they saw three Nintendo DS consoles seated as guests. On the screens were three anime-like girls, including Nene Anegasaki, who RocketNews24 reports is the groom's girlfriend. The names of the bride and groom were not revealed. The groom works for Japan's largest comic book convention so we're guessing the bride knew what she was getting into, but no bride would allow something like this to happen - right?

If the bride seems too understanding it's because she had a secret planned.

According to Japan Today, instead of the traditional cake-cutting ceremony, they removed the memory card from the Nintendo and placed it on some napkins. The newlyweds then grabbed a wooden mallet, held it as if they were cutting a cake and smashed the memory card. An eyewitness reported the groom was on the verge of tears watching it happen, but he was powerless to stop it.

According to RocketNews24, Love Plus, an addictive dating simulator for the Nintendo DS, sold more than 250,000 copies in Japan. Stories of men being busted by their wives and girlfriends are common on the Internet.

I guess the new wife will have to be on the lookout for new DS games coming into the house to make sure the man doesn't go back to his cheating ways.
