When former U.S. secretary of state Colin Powell isn't commenting on landmark decisions such as the Trayvon Martin case, or on Republican party politics, the 76-year-old apparently leaves time for a little grooving.
Pictures taken at Ron Perelman's Apollo in the Hamptons benefit by Getty photographer Shahar Azran, according to the New York Post, show Powell looking serious about his moves as he boogies on stage with Jamie Foxx, Pharrell, Katie Holmes and Ellen DeGeneres.
A video uploaded yesterday shows Powell was dancing to the Daft Punk hit "Get Lucky."
Dorky and entertaining.
New York magazine reported Colin Powell also sang a few lines of the song "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, as Jamie Foxx, holding the microphone, watched him with a wide-eyed expression.
The video is quickly going viral, as videos of public figures letting loose often do. For example, a video uploaded in May that appears to show Jean Chrétien learning how to wakeboard at the age of 79 had media amused at the former prime minister's adventurous retirement.
Another video entitled "Colin Powell rocks the Hamptons," shows Powell still on the stage, bouncing with the other celebrities.
