Dog has a great time playing fetch by itself

This chihuahua in Kobe, Japan doesn't need any human help when it comes to playing catch. All he needs is a river stream!

A little dog in Japan has found the gateway to endless entertainment — human help optional.

A video of the dog playing fetch with itself, uploaded by Ryan Faw, has gone viral online, racking up more than 280,000 views. The dog picks up its ball, runs with it, and then throws it into the water and runs after it once again, tail wagging in excitement.

Who needs those pesky owners, always getting sore arms and throwing the ball too far?

The description says the dog was near a river in Kobe, Japan and even though the animal seems happy in its independence, it adds the dog does have an owner.

This pet isn't the first to learn the joys of humanless fetch. This video from 2011 shows a dog discovering gravity can be a great time. The dog brings the ball up to its owner's feet at the top of the hill but the downward slope sends it rolling back downward each time.

The dog chases after the ball, brings it back up the hill and then drops it again. And so on, for more than a minute and a half, while the owner stands by doing nothing at all.

This pup isn't interested in new tricks when it can perform the same one over, and over and over again.
