Quick, name the first word that comes to mind when you hear the word "zombies."

If you said "brains" or any other word that wasn't racially charged, you might do better on Family Feud than the woman featured in a clip from the show uploaded to YouTube this week. When asked to say something she knew about zombies faster than her opponent, Christie blurted out "black."

Host Steve Harvey looked dumbstruck as he repeated her answer.

"They're black, okay..." he said, before turning to the board. The big reveal: the word wasn't on the board.

Christie's answer was bad, but game shows have been bringing out the worst in contestants for years.

Stupid Game Show Answers (SGSA) has compiled clips from the Newlywed Game, Jeopardy, Family Fortunes and other shows that reveal the occasionally embarrassing results of thinking on your feet. No, Joe, "A group of pill-pushers" is not likely to ever be an answer on Wheel of Fortune.

In some cases, however, the producers should take some of the blame for awkward game show moments. For example, this clip from Family Feud last year in which Steve Harvey asks contestants to "Name something you put in your mouth but don't swallow." Really?

There are many innocent answers to this question, of course, such as gum or toothpaste.

If only someone had whispered "gum" to the pastor's wife before she opened her mouth.
