Flight attendant tells passengers to leave if they have ‘balls’

Finding out your flight is delayed is bad enough, but getting stuck on a plane with a confrontational flight attendant can be downright unbearable.

Cell phone video captured the rant of Jose Serrano, a flight attendant on board American Eagle Flight 4607. The flight was delayed due to weather conditions for five hours at LaGuardia Airport in New York City, resulting in agitated passengers and one grumpy flight attendant, as this video shows:

The New York Post reports that the flight was meant to be departing for North Carolina at 1:25 p.m., but passengers weren't able to board until almost 4 p.m. due to the rain. Passengers became more irate as the plane was forced to line up behind 20 others, then had to turn around and refuel 40 minutes later. The passengers were forced off the plane and reboarded again around 6 p.m.

When the flight still remained grounded, grumbling amongst the passengers increased, prompting Serrano to rant over the intercom, inviting passengers to leave the flight if they didn't like it.

"I don't care anymore. This is probably my last flight," passengers reported Serrano saying, according to the New York Post.

Many passengers say they were uncomfortable with Serrano's behaviour, and some reported smelling alcohol on his breath.

"The scariest part was that if we did go back in the air with him, what if just opened the door and let a few passengers out, you know?" said Hannah Abel, a passenger on the flight to ABC News.

Three families are reported to have left the flight, as they didn't feel comfortable with Serrano on the flight. Police eventually came on board the flight and interviewed several passengers, as well as Serrano.

The flight was officially cancelled at 8 p.m. Passengers were put up in hotels, and left on a flight the next day.
