The mayor of Halifax, Mike Savage, is a lot like Brad Pitt.

No, no, don't look at his hair or check his list of movie credits. It's much deeper than that. At least that's what he would have you believe in a comic video that describes how the Nova Scotia capital's municipal leader is constantly compared to Brad Pitt.

"Well hello there," Savage says at the beginning of the deadpan video, while trying on a pair of sunglasses as he looks in the mirror. He muses about the hardest part of his job as the mayor.

And surprisingly, it isn't dealing with feral cats, nor chickens.

"The toughest thing is the constant comparisons to Brad Pitt," he says. If you don't believe him, just look at the faces of those starstruck locals as he peruses a clothing store.

The video is part of a campaign to win a street makeover through paint retailer Benjamin Moore's Main Street Matters project. Supporters can vote for a main street in any nominated city, according to the website.

The top 20 will receive a paint job. One of Main Street Matters' partners is the organization Make It Right, founded by Brad Pitt. Savage channeled his inner Pitt to collect votes for Halifax.

But really, who can deny the similarities?
