Someone's obviously not a Boy Scout: Criminal aspirations aside, this would-be robber failed to be prepared for his heist, missing a key tool needed to carry out his plan. But you've got to give him credit for creativity. The man made quite the sight when he used an umbrella to haul more than $20,000 after first dropping cash all over the bank floor in Maryland. The suspect was arrested after a police pursuit.

When I was a kid, I was utterly charmed by the idea of using a rotary phone -- and at that time you'd have to scour the second-hand shops to find one. Fast-forward a couple decades and you have kids who are utterly confused by anything without a touch screen. Heaven forbid they're asked to fax something one day...

In a battle of snake vs. crocodile, it seems pretty obvious which would emerge the victor, right? Think again. The encounter, which stunned onlookers in Queensland, Australia, lasted five hours and ended when the snake squeezed its foe to death and dragged the croc to shore as a tasty treat.

Finally, how could you not feel for this cutie with the big beautiful eyes? Daisy the dog was paralyzed after being struck by a car last November.
