Percy Lau creates lifelike body parts as jewelry

The London-based artist has a collection including a third little ear, mouths, noses and genitals

If you want someone to do a double take at your jewelry, try wearing miniature lifelike body parts when accessorizing.

That's what London-based designer Percy Lau creates. Her interesting line includes a small ear that can go under your actual ear, a mouth, a nose and even tiny male genitalia. While the ear one seems to look the freakiest as an earring, all of the pieces can be worn on your ears or as necklaces or rings.

"My inspirations come to me in a split second and if I like it, I make it," she told The Upcoming. "I base my designs on 'having a laugh,' so that might be a reason why I come up with weird things."

She thinks people need to listen more so she created the metal ear brooch and it expanded into the other designs. She said it's "an extra ear to help us listen."

Lau, a second year student studying jewelry design, uses a type of clay called super sculpey. She told The Upcoming she made the shape for each item and then created a mold from the original.

While many people comment that her collection is "gross", she said that is just her sense of humour and the people who purchase it probably have a similar sense of humour.

Lau has expanded past the body parts to include things such as coffee spilling through a person's ear and out the other side, 3D glasses and a bracelet made out of tiny Mao wearing lipstick. She also sells dentures where the teeth are replaced with acrylic nails.

Her body part accessories are available for sale on Etsy for $24-$42.
