Redditor leaves rose petals for water heater repairman

A woman who had a gas repairman come to her home when she was away had a unique and suggestive way to get him to service her tank.

A gas heating customer brought a little romance into a repairman's work day recently when she left a trail of rose petals and romantic notes for him to find when he arrived, according to a series of photos posted online.

"I wasn't home when a dude fixed my water heater. I hope he liked the surprise!" wrote user Cassiebear on Imgur, where she posted seven photos of the welcome she left for him.

The first two show a mat with a key beneath it, which leads inside the house where a trail of rose petals curves around the carpet into the room with the water heater. A provocative note taped to the door days, "Hello..." and another taped to the heater says, "Will you light my fire?"

The last note thanks the repairman and asks him to lock up.

The story received more than 1,400 comments after Cassiebear posted it to Reddit, including responses from others describing themselves as repair people.

"As a home appliance repairman, if I see ONE more trail of rose petals!!" one user joked.

Another wrote he would "love" a greeting like this, because usually he has to avoid aggressive dogs and move possessions just to reach the water heater.

One commenter wrote he or she doesn't even prepare that much for a wedding anniversary.

This Redditor is teaching lessons in romance one home repair at a time.
