A cat more used to giving funny looks than receiving them is quickly becoming a online star.
Spangles the cross-eyed kitty has seen the number of likes to his Facebook page double in the last week to more than 7,000 since media in the U.K. and Australia have published photos of the phenomenal feline.
His owner, 25-year-old Mary Buchanan of South Carolina, regularly posts photos of the three-year-old Spangles in a variety of different costumes to the site.
"He was born on July 4. So I came up with his name, Spangles!" Buchanan posted.
"He can see perfectly fine. He has been checked out by a vet, and no surgery is needed to correct his sight."
Buchanan adopted the tabby from a neighbour when he was five months old.
"He was born with one cross eye, but he's never had problems walking or anything," she said, according to the Herald Sun.

"He's never run into things, or wobbled. He can see perfectly fine."
Clearly seeing is believing.
