Woman proposes to her boyfriend through airport flash mob

After spending two years away from his girlfriend, a church missionary landed at the airport in Oklahoma City on Monday and he was greeted with a mob of singers and dancers, according to KFOR News.

Austin Spitler's girlfriend, Brittany Jones, danced at the front of the flash mob, which she had organized at Will Rogers World Airport as a special welcome home.

"Hey baby, I think I want to marry you," she sang, and minutes later, she was down on one knee, proposing to him.

Spitler had a surprise of his own, apparently, because after saying yes he returned to his backpack and pulled out a ring. He proposed back to Jones and naturally, she said yes too.

KFOR reports the couple plans to marry in San Diego next month.

During another flash mob proposal last year in New York's Bryant Park, the fiance-to-be cried after an impromptu dance and a marching band performance led into a drum-roll before the big question.

A couple in Vancouver, Whitney and Libby, became engaged last year after Whitney proposed by making a short zombie film and staging a Thriller flash mob at a movie theatre, according to a YouTube video uploaded in November 2012.

The description says the short film was named 285 weeks later — after the number of weeks the couple had been dating.
