Bears airlifted to safety in flooded Russia

Due to torrential rains and the worst flooding in 120 years, more than 20,000 Russians have been evacuated from their Far East homes.

Rescuers worked to ensure more than just people escaped the rising waters. Two captive bears, unable to escape the flooring on their own, were airlifted to safety from their home at a campsite near the city of Blagoveshchensk.
