    ‘Cirque’ dancer wows on crutches

It's dubstep with crutches. And it's awesome.

German-born dancer Dergin Tokmak didn't let childhood polio — and resulting waist-down loss of muscle control — keep him from becoming a breakdancer and Cirque du Soleil performer.

He now performs this jaw-dropping "Solo on Crutches" piece in a touring show.

"I want to pass on to the next generation…so people can see that no handicap is too big or too limiting to dance. My message as an artist is to show the world that there is a creative soul in everyone with or without a handicap," Tokmak says.

Sad that I can't look that good without any disability. Thumbs up to you for sharing your talent of turning a disability to something that is so beautiful and inspirational to everyone.

Wow! Hats off to this guy and people who, like him and Chantal Petitclerc, overcome physical handicaps to achieve astonishing level of athletism.

Nice to read/watch something like this for a change, instead of the usual garbage of death, disaster, heartache etc that seems to be a 24/7 theme for all media outlets.

tokmak = his dance on crutches was amazing. as i hadn't read about him before watching the video, i thought the crutches were just a prop. he has really demonstrated that one should not give up on ones dreams. others can say "you can't" but you are the only one
who can decide - if you believe you can - then one way or another you will fulfill your dream. -
just as Tokmak has proven. Tobmak believed in himself - so too can others.
