Group photo from above: Photographer Mike Larson’s camera toss

Capturing a large group in a single photo isn't always easy — especially if the photographer wants to be in the frame.

At a workshop in San Luis Obispo last year, wedding photographer Mike Larson demonstrated how to capture everyone by tossing his DSLR and fisheye lens into the air.

Group shots and self-portraits will never be the same.

This technique is only recommended to individuals with great hand-eye coordination — for obvious reasons.

However, as fun and creative as these techniques look, we do not recommend trying them at home!
