Wedding Onboard Hot Air Balloon Ends with Crash Landing

It takes most brides at least several months to plan their dream wedding, but even after all that attention to detail, there can still be mishaps on the big day. Unfortunately, newlyweds Kerin and Jonathan Narcisse found that out the hard way.

Even though both Kerin and Jonathan are afraid of heights, they planned to exchange vows in a hot air balloon over Rancho Peñasquitos, California. On Monday, just 20 minutes after the two lovebirds tied the knot, their hot air balloon was caught by a gust of wind. The entire wedding party was in a precarious position as the wind sent the hot air balloon crashing into nearby backyard. Kerin told a local news station how the group reacted during the frightening situation: "We were holding on. We were holding on to each other. Yeah, it was scary." The accident was captured on camera by local CBS affiliate CNS.

Kerin goes on to say that she thought the hot air balloon was moving a little fast, and everyone held their stances to land. She said that the balloon bounced two or three times and then dragged along until it finally came to a stop.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. Despite the accident, Jonathan and Kerin's love for each other remains unbruised. Some people are calling this the most literal case of crashing a wedding in history.
