A 15-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with two Ottawa bank robberies.
Police say the teen was also charged with wearing a disguise and possession of a weapon to commit an offence.
The robberies occurred last Saturday afternoon. At a bank on Bank Street, a robber pulled out a knife as he demanded money, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The same person had been unsuccessful earlier in the day on Woodroffe Avenue, when he gave a bank employee a note asking for cash. He left empty-handed.
No one was hurt in either robbery.
The teen, whose name cannot be released because of his age, appeared in court Friday, police said in a news release.
