The City of Calgary is asking residents to report potholes in their neighbourhoods so road crews can fix them.
City employee Dale Elliot says it's an unusual January for his crew, as usually they'd be out sanding and dealing with snow.
Instead, they're able to fix potholes because of the unseasonably mild temperatures this winter.
“It's been very, very mild compared to the last two (years),” said Elliott. “And it's just giving us a chance to go out and do work like this, grouting and stuff like that.”
The city wants Calgarians to be on the lookout for potholes, and are asking people to call 311 if they see one.
Crews are also doing some spring clean-up, including sweeping streets, picking up debris and repairing fences.
