Charges are pending against two Amherst teens after a video of a vicious assault was posted online.
Police say a video of two 15 year old boys attacking another teen was shared on Facebook among a group of students at Amherst Regional High School.
The incident occurred earlier this week across the street from the school during the lunch hour. The 15-year-old victim was treated for minor injuries.
"This is difficult for the victim, difficult for his family," said Amherst Police Chief Ian Naylor. "It's just another form of bullying and trying to humiliate this individual. And it's not acceptable."
Naylor said the investigation continues, and they may consider charges against some of the other students involved.
A spokesperson with the Chignecto Central Regional School Board said they are conducting their own investigation of the incident and they may take further disciplinary action against the students involved in the video.
