Charlottetown streets closed for New Year’s celebrations
Some streets in Charlottetown are already closed Wednesday morning for New Year’s Eve festivities.
Great George Street and streets crossing it are closed and will re-open at 10 p.m.
The free entertainment along Great George Street starts at 6 p.m. and includes the bands The Love Junkies and More Soul. There are wagon rides, hula hoop dancers, heated seating areas, and indoor family fun at the Murphy Centre.
A fireworks display will be visible from the bottom of Great George Street at 8 p.m.
