Dallas Eakins last in ESPN ranking of NHL coaches

Dallas Eakins of the Edmonton Oilers can be found at the very bottom of ESPN's lastest ranking of NHL coaches. As explained by the American website, they "asked a panel of experts to rank each coach on a scale of 0 to 10 based on how they predict he will perform this season."

Eakins, who was ranked 22nd in the same poll last season, saw the bright side of the issue, saying that there is no way to go but up. However, forward Taylor Hall was slightly more confrontational when approached about the issue by reporters.

The Oilers currently sit last in the Western Conference with 14 points and a record of 6-10-2. Only the Buffalo Sabres (4-13-2) have a worse record overall.

Meanwhile, Eakins is in his second season with the team and has posted a mark of 35-54-11.
