DUI charges laid after collision in Mount Pearl

Police have charged a 51-year-old man with impaired driving following a collision late Friday night in Mount Pearl.

Around 11:45 p.m., a motorist alerted the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary to a vehicle responsible for a collision in the Donovan’s Industrial Park area.

RNC officers later located the vehicle on Sagona Avenue.

The driver was charged with impaired driving, refusing the breathalyzer and failure to remain at the scene of an accident. He was released to appear in court.

Police said there were no injuries.
