Between releasing a new single and her first contemporary Christian CD, disco queen Gloria Gaynor is taking time out to help fight cancer in Toronto.
Gaynor will perform in Princess Margaret Hospital’s Dance to Conquer Cancer fundraiser on Feb. 12 in Woodbridge.
“I’m releasing in just a couple of weeks a disco single called All The Man That I Need, and I think it’s a hit, so I’m looking forward to great things happening to it.”
To Gaynor, cancer hits close to home.
“My mother died of cancer ... so I try to do whatever I can to help,” said Gaynor.
“I don’t think there’s that many degrees of separation between anyone and someone who has suffered or is suffering from cancer and so we all need to pitch in ... to help people and get involved.”
