The Calgary Fire Department has now left the scene of an aerial rescue in the city’s southeast, after a man fell down a deep trench.
At approximately 12:20 p.m. MT crews responded to an area near 84th street and 34th avenue southeast.
When firefighters arrived they found a man who had fallen 15 feet into a shoring trench box.
Fire officials secured the patient to a stretcher and performed an aerial rescue to remove him from the trench.
Roads in the area were closed, but have since reopened.
