Fire destroyed two houses late Sunday afternoon in the northeast Calgary community of Coventry Hills.
Crews were called to Covewood Park N.E. at about 4:45 p.m., finding one home engulfed in flames and a second beginning to burn.
Two people escaped the houses and there were no injuries, fire officials said.
Crews were able to put out the fire and keep it from spreading beyond the house where it started and the one next door.
Houses to the south and across the alley had relatively minor damage, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
