Firebug who torched 2 Wetaskiwin churches charged in more fires

A man with a history of torching buildings in Wetaskiwin has been arrested for setting more fires in the city south of Edmonton.The man recently served a four-year prison sentence for burning two churches in 2009.He is now accused of setting fires earlier this year at a machine shop, a rail yard and a cabinetry business.Wayne Vanouck, whose welding business went up in smoke in April, is happy someone has been charged in connection with three fires.“It's cost a lot of people and insurance companies around town here a lot of money.”However, Wetaskiwin RCMP say there are still several other unsolved fires in the area.Myra Maciborsky woke up to find her shed and travel trailer on fire in May.“I hope that it was him,” she said. “If it wasn't him, wow, then there's still someone out in our area doing this.
