    Folk festival announces lineup

    The Ottawa Folk Festival has announced its lineup for its 18th edition.


    Among the musicians slated to perform are Bruce Hornsby and the Noise Makers, Bright Eyes, the Levon Helm Band, City and Colour,  Steve Earle and the Dukes and Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine. The four-day event runs Aug. 25 to 28 at Hog’s Back Park. 


    Festival organizers say they expect increased attendance due to a compelling lineup and a “dynamic festival experience at a beautiful new festival site” next  to the Hog’s Back Falls.


    Also confirmed are J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.), Hawksley Workman, Punch Brothers,  Garland Jeffries, Rural Alberta Advantage, Jeremy Fisher, Jimmy Rankin and many others.  Metro
