A Gatineau photo studio is warning customers about a cyber-predator who has been contacting its clients through Facebook and asking for nude photos.
Caroline-Andree Boulet runs Photo Flash, a photography studio in Gatineau that has a number of women clients, some of whom have linked to the studio's Facebook page.
She said someone has been contacting its younger female clients through Facebook and asking for nude photos.
She was tipped off after a young woman from Montreal called her to ask for more information about a supposed beauty contest.
The young woman said a man called claiming to be from Boulet's studio and said in order to qualify, nude photos were required.
Gatineau police spokesman Pierre Lanthier said police are trying to get in touch with any victims from Gatineau.
"When you go on different sites, don't give personal information," said Lanthier. "You never know who's behind the computer or the camera. If you think there's someone like that behind the computer, call the police as soon as possible."
