A gigantic moth made quite an impression on a Charlottetown woman Wednesday night.
Gloria Murnaghan spotted a large silkworm moth outside her home.
"I had got home with a few groceries and I got out of the car and I just kinda looked around the yard and I saw this thing in the tree and I thought it was a bird," she said.
"And I looked a little more and I said, 'Oh my, it's a big butterfly!' I said, 'You stay there, I gotta get your picture taken.' So, I ran in the house and took a couple of pictures of him and put him in this jar."
Local experts say the moth is actually a cousin to the butterfly.
Murnaghan said the moth is about the size of her hand. She said she plans to set it free soon.
