Iraq MPs to vote on electoral law as deadline expires
BAGHDAD (AFP) - The Iraqi parliament will attempt yet again to vote on a controversial electoral bill on Saturday, the deadline for a law to be passed if January general elections are to be held, a senior lawmaker said.
"We reached a deal on the electoral law in the committee on laws, and deputies will vote on Saturday," panel chairman Baha al-Araji told AFP on Thursday.
