Drivers received a break, Wednesday, after gas prices dropped 4.5 cents per litre after midnight.
The price for a litre of regular self serve on the Island now sits between $1.23 and $1.25.
Furnace oil and stove oil also dropped by 3.9 cents per litre bringing the price down to $1.01 plus GST.
The price per litre of diesel fuel also dropped Wednesday morning by 3.6 cents.
Propane prices remained steady.
The next scheduled price adjustment by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission is June 1.
The commission said there have been significant drops in wholesale fuel prices prompting this unscheduled price adjustment.
