A jury has been assembled to hear evidence in a murder trial at Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Stephen Michael Neville was charged two years ago with first-degree murder after Douglas Flynn, 19, died of stab wounds after a Oct. 9, 2010 incident on Carlisle Drive in the Elizabeth Park neighbourhood of Paradise.
A jury of six women and six men, as well as two alternates, was picked during a hearing in St. John's.
The Crown upgraded the murder charge against Neville from second-degree to first-degree in March 2011.
Neville also faces a charge of attempted murder against another another man, Ryan Dwyer. The charge alleges that Neville stabbed Dwyer with a knife.
The trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 22.
